CamingoDos is a highly legible, modern sans serif type family. It comes in a wide range of seven weights and three widths. Its rich set of expert typographic features like small caps, ligatures, different figure sets and alternative glyphs makes CamingoDos an ideal solution for editorial and corporate design.
The work on Camingo started in 2004. My ambition was to create a typeface that works well for both small text sizes and large headlines. Two years later Camingo was enlarged to a type family with a wide range of typographic features. It was released in 2006 an was awarded as MyFonts Best Textfont 2006.
Camingo is provided with tight shapes and elliptic roundings. With the aspect of legibility on mind these attributes were applied carefully. Along with a subtle contrast between thick and thin strokes Camingo has a strong, humanistic appearance.
CamingoDos is the updated and partially re-drawn version of the original Camingo type family. I reconsidered some design decisions and added a lot of glyphs to the character set. Read here in detail what has changed. During the work on the redesign I added a condensed and a semi-condensed version as well.
